We are having an inversion today. That is what it's called when it is warmer at higher elevations than lower ones. When I left South Lake this morning it was 30 degrees, when I got to Sierra, it was 58.
Wow is right! If it's not going to be snowing this is the next best thing. It’s like spring out there, well, almost. The snow is a bit faster and what's even better is that while we adorn our designer shades and mirrored goggles on this fine day, we well know that there is still a full season of snow on the way. Can I get a wha-what!? (Or at least some form or enthusiastic agreement?)
To quote the weather crystal ball, "There is a 90% chance of snow for Tuesday." I could put some money on those odds.
Check out the conditions from out on the hill today- Sunday, Dec 12.
