I think
you can agree with me when I say (or shout) WHAT A SPLENDID SEASON! With more than 540
inches of snow, over 26 powder days, tons of successful events and countless stoked skiers and snowboarders, it’s been one epic season! So let's break it down now, what have we been thankful for?
Thank you #1: Snow? Yeah!!
With all the El Nino talk in October....those predictions were right on with a whoa there, hello, popo gigo...540 inch season total! Um, that's 5 feet over our average! With such a solid base to work with, conditions were absolutely fantastical all season long. From opening day right down to the end, mother nature was consistently giving!
Thank you #2: Parks and parties!
The Terrain Parks crew and SPT killed it this season! They were able to manage the mass amounts of snow with grace by pushing it this way and that to create consistent new features! The Park Crew introduced us to brand new and re-loved features including the donkey kinks, the wall ride, the stair set and a 8' wide down box! When it came to events and photoshoots, hard work was put in to create innovative builds in a timely manner in which the competitors were very pleased with!
Thank you #3: Athletes!
From the AM team to the Pros that represent Sierra, they have all proved themselves this season! We've had our girls Jamie Anderson and Hannah Teter win big, with Jamie winning the entire Dew Tour and Hannah taking home silver in the Olympics! As the season has wined down, you can catch either one of them ripping it in the Superpipe and/or The Alley!
Thank you #4: You, our Sierra loyalists!
We love our pass holders and the participation they put into events! Sierra fans have come out to support and make each event a success with their participation! So thank you for continuing to show Sierra love and contributing to a great season!
