OH MAN! Just got back to the desk from an amazing mountain session and let me tell you, The Gates and Preachers Passion are prime time, yowzzza! If you haven't called in powder sick yet, best get on it!!
April is kicking off more like January, but hey, no complaining here! Mother nature played a little trick on us Wednesday by dropping off 24"! We've received 5" since then putting the season total now at 476 inches, that's only 4 inches shy of the
annual average, which will easily be picked up this weekend starting today!
With the temperature staying in the 20s to mid 30s, the snow will be well preserved for the weekend! The next storm has moved in this morning with light snow falling and it sure doesn't look like it's going to let up. NOAA forecasts snow to continue to fall through the night, with possibly 6-9 inches on the slopes by tomorrow morning. We'll see a brief halt of snow showers Saturday through Sunday afternoon, however Sunday night looks to unload 2 FEET by Monday morning! Really April?!
Tree runs aren't the only amazing thing getting action this weekend! After an epic week of powder that has fallen, a toast is callin! After a morning of stellar skiing, riding, pretty much shredding TODAY at 1pm, you'll want to get your fill of frothy ales and fine wines at our FIRST annual Sippin' at Sierra Beer and Wine festival! Sip away while grooving to the tunes of Brian Bertke and the Buzztones.....we'll toast to that!
And the toasting continues! Come join us for 2 days of Telegrass clinics, Bluegrass bands, Fat Tire, relay races and equipment demos at the 7th Annual Telegrass Festival! Guests can free their heels and stomp their feet to live music, raffles and seasonal brews going down tomorrow and Sunday!
Peace, love and more powder!
keepin it real since 86'
